Top Shelf

Yes it's time to celebrate all the achievers and merit award winners, with many of our club members. Come along to the Cornwall Park Sports Association (CPSA) clubrooms, Puriri Drive, Greenlane. Sunday evening June 21, for the Club's 2019 Prize Giving. Bring along your family, friends and supporters and join us in acknowledging the outstanding performances and consistent achievers from within our club.

Ah, the good old days. When we could compete in actual events and enjoy the competition and camaraderie from real people, in big numbers. Hear about some of the Club's history and gather some "pearls of wisdom" from our Guest Speaker and Club Legend, Phil Cooper at 7pm. There will be a light supper at 7:30 and then The Auckland YMCA Marathon Club Prize Giving begins at 8pm.
All of the club's Life Members have been invited along to recognise the occasion and catch up with their running buddies.

Come early if you can. The bar will open from 5:30 and The Auckland YMCA Marathon Club AGM will start at 6pm. Hear a summary of the previous year's profit and loss and some of the highlights of the club organised events and the issues that we sort through. It is not to late to nominate someone for the committee. Relleke should have some forms at the club on Sunday and again prior to the meeting or from our website.

The Cross Country 1 event is on Saturday June 20 at Barry Curtis Park, Chapel Rd, Flat Bush. Registered runners compete against other Auckland Clubs. Don't forget your timing chips and number patches and your thermos of hot water. The weather should be okay, but a little slippery underfoot.
Our club has volunteered to manage the catering as a fundraiser, so please help out where you can. Specifically, we are looking for baking or savouries, suitable for sale in single servings. Contact one of the committee if you would like your baking picked up before Saturday afternoon. Thank you to those people that have volunteered to help at the food sales and sausage sizzle.
The Long Bay Cross Country 2 event is on Saturday June 27.

The 14 week buildup for  begins in earnest at 8am Sunday June 21 from the Greys Ave YMCA Fitness Centre.

Week 4: 216m  Tamaki Drive - St Heliers Bay Rd - Remuera Rd   Map My
